GWM Haval Jolion Hybrid

GWM Haval has just announced the arrival of the Jolion Hybrid, the second Hybrid SUV to be released in Australia.

Availibility

The Jolion hybrid should arrive at dealerships in September 2022 and will currently only be available in the top of the range Ultra variant.

New Styling

The hybrid will have the same features as with the Jolion Ultra though body styling will set it apart in the crowd. This includes a different front bumper, front grille, fog lights, LED’s headlamps with blue accents, a new rear spoiler and newly designed 18 inch alloy wheels.

Hybrid Motor

It will be powered by the same 1.5 litre Hybrid motor as seen in the H6 hybrid although with a lower tuned output. This motor will be coupled with a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission or DHT and will push out 139kW of power and 375 Nm of torque running on standard 91RON fuel.

In comparison to the standard petrol engine output of 110kW and 220Nm, the hybrid has 26% more power and 70% more torque. Although more powerful, reported figures show the hybrid is 38% more fuel efficient reducing the combined consumption rating from 8.1 to 5 litres per 100km.

Safety

The same safety package as the Ultra will be featured in the hybrid including 7 SRS airbags, forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and 360 degree camera.

Luxury

Same as with the petrol variant, you get a 12.3 inch multimedia touchscreen with android auto and apple carplay, panoramic sunroof, leather interior, wireless charging and heads up display. It also comes with GWM Haval’s 7 year unlimited km warranty with 5 years of roadside assist and capped price servicing.

Summary

GWM Haval have done an amazing job being able to squeeze more power and torque out of the small Jolion SUV while managing to bring it’s fuel consumption down.
